LoL set my PC on fire!

So there I was being a good Poppy-top, kicking butt, taking names and all that good stuff. Truck turned on, because opti-idle sensed temp hit 81F and was trying to cool it back down to 74F with the AC. Laptop power flickered, but eh, that always happens when opti idle comes on, battery covers it.

Then, as I keep playing I start to smell something weird. I just died to Lee Sin getting lucky or something, so figured I had time to poke my head out the window and see if someone dumped something smelly next to me... but nope, air outside is clear and fresh.

Then I realized. MY INVERTER MELTED INTO THE DC OUTLET ("cigarette lighter plug")

I shouted in game, FIRE IRL! and afk'd to see if there was a real safety problem. Two other people had already DC'd, but we were doing okay without em.

Yank yank YANK. Inverter plug was in two, tip of it still stuck in ciglighter. I gave up and saw we'd already lost the match. T_T

But yeah, over-the-road trucker here, running Asus Republic of Gamers laptop on a 25-gig limit 4g connection (faster than DSL, srsly) using a 150 watt inverter for power/battery recharge.

Used this setup for almost a year without this happening. Then a few games into LoL, THIS.

Ergo, LoL set me on fire! (ok, so thread title is exagerration, but I hope you enjoyed the story. Time to buy new inverter. In the market for a DC-DC charger if I can ever find one) T_T

I hear salt is a good fire retardant. You've got to be saltier.
