WTH is scripting

I was just accused of scripting after going 31-7 on Ezreal in an URF game (which isn't hard to do.. just mash buttons and you win). What is scripting?

They're separate programs that help your performance in game (and thus violate the terms of service). They can range from noninteractive ones like displaying the range on a certain ability around your champion, to jungle timers, to automatically dodging skillshots from the fog of war, to making your skillshots always land, and more.

If you have no idea what they're talking about, then you're probably fine =P

Essentially you did well enough that the enemy team thought you might actually be cheating. It's possible to set up a program that monitors your game and takes action for you when it sees certain things happen, like certain distinctive skillshots headed your direction. Or set it up to aim your skillshots for you, perfectly accounting for the enemy's current direction and speed to fire a skillshot at their predicted position.

Basically if it's anything that's not physically you or the game server impacting what you see and how you play, it's not supported by Riot. Some things, like a custom overlay designed to fit over the HUD for purely cosmetic reasons (many streamers use something like this), are fine with Riot, but it's still your responsibility if it breaks your game for some reason. But if there's any sort of functionality added in, anything that can be seen as a competitive advantage, then it's against the ToS and is a bannable offense.
