Am I a noob?

Well, surely i am.

I've been playing this game for over a year now and i have seen across many forums, when a bronze speaks out about something involved in gameplay, they are often met with comments along the lines of;

You're still low level so you don't really know... blah blah... etc.

But as I said, I've been playing over a year- and i am NOT ranked. I am....... LEVEL 14

I feel like that is so noobie i don't deserve to even touch this forum. BUT I'VE BEEN PLAYING FOR A DECENT AMOUNT OF TIME- SURELY I'M ALLOWED!

If i had never set foot on the internet, and wasn't very well informed on the hierarchy of player levels/ranks, i would like to call myself "At least half-decent" But since I have set foot on the internet, and I do have some knowledge on the hierarchy of player ranks/levels I feel ashamed to even think that i might be a tinily bit decent at the game.

I would like to say that in lots of my games, I do perform exceptionally well, and I think I understand LoL terms, references, and the Meta more than most of my Lvl14 peers. Yet somehow I'm still a noob.

Life is sad. Amumu item 3070

So, as I'm presuming that the people on these forums ARE higher than me, this is my question. --- Am I downright nooblet who doesn't deserve to touch these forums, --- Or am I actually at least a bit decent?

How noobie am I? Why is that?

Thanks item 3026

TL;DR : Why don't you read all of it instead of waiting for this. Why should i have to use up my brainpower to think of a summary?

As a level 30 Bronzie here; welcome! Feel free to speak your opinion (as long as you have some facts,) and have fun!

Now for the real talk.

These boards are really shitty with their elo hierarchy. It's stupid how I reply on someone saying Irelia is OP, stating that in lower elo so is Katarina, and until we understand the game better they're gonna be overpowered, a Diamond says;

"Oh, of course you lower elo are powerless and can't do anything for yourselves."

Just ignore them, or shove their higher-elo-cockiness up their asshole like I do.

The word "noob" gets thrown around excessively. Sure, from the perspective of someone in mid gold, You're awful. I can destroy you 100/100 times, but that's just how league works. It's amazing to Que up with low elo friends and see the incredible skill difference between 2 divisions. It's incredible just how much several hours of playing can change someones ability,

With that being said, someone in mid diamond can feel the exact same way about me (bear in mind the skill range is still quite lower, but still astronomical)

This is why I think that the word "Noob" is far too subjective. Most people agree that around high diamond, people start to get "good." Does that make everyone below a noob? I don't think so. We can't discredit 99.5% of the community that hastily

So how do I define noob? Well, Riot says that they design their competitive changes for players "platinum and up" Below, this is where a noob should be considered. Below this point, consideration for balance changes are made, therefore it is, at least somewhat logical to begin to discredit peoples opinions (although arguably unjustified.)

So, you and I are both noobs.

Are you a noob? Maybe. But I think that if you care enough to ask, you won't be for long.
