I love this game a lot, I have spent probably close to 800$ on this game and would really like to keep playing it. I have close to 4 months of in game time. I also run/created a Esports club focused primarily on league of legends at my high school. I recently hit diamond and would like to talk about the recent season reward changes. League has been a pretty impacting thing in my life since i started playing by helping me meet new people and create close bonds with really great people that otherwise i wouldn't have met

The reason i am making this thread is because of the reddit thread linked above regarding ranked rewards being taken out if you have been banned for 7 to 14 days. Beginning of my 3rd quarter last year right when ranked started I rushed home from school because I couldn't play ranked for a few months because of preseason. Season 4 I ended Gold 2. I finish all 10 placements and place Gold 1 going 7-3. The next day I hit platinum and got so excited! I have never been that high on the ladder and was ready to grind all the way through plat and maybe even hit Diamond!

Third quarter starts and everything is fine. I got grounded because I did bad on my semester exams for a few weeks.. At this point i'm Platinum 4 and dont want to get decay, so i do what any other video game deprived teenager would do. I went to my friends house, I went to my friends house and me and him played league. I went to bed before him and didn't log out, he thought it would be funny to play a Teemo ranked jungle game and feed out of his mind and be toxic the whole time. I left that morning not knowing he played this game. The next club meeting i tried logging into my account to see I was banned for 14 days. This is my first time being banned pre level 30 for being AFK. I was never chat restricted or anything just banned. I know i wouldn't get banned for being toxic in just one game but i literally haven't played on the account for all the weeks that i was grounded. Unless someone else was on my account. I know it is my job to keep my account safe but if I was hacked and people were playing on my account and i'm pretty sure you could check the isp or Ip on those games that my account was being reported for being toxic on during that time period or from when I stopped playing ranked right after. Even if i was banned way back then when I wasn't playing 5 weeks into the season. I feel like i have grown as a person and as a player and want to set an example for everyone in my club as well as other league players... But if people in my club see that I am Diamond 5 finishing the season but don't get a border or rewards they will think that I am toxic I don't want to set that kind of example to my peers. Especially for something out of my control that happened months ago.

It took me 3 and a half years to get to this point and I am really happy with how far i have gotten.. When you are this far in the game and have every champion 20 rune pages all the runes you will ever need and 35000 ip. There is not really much else to do except play ranked. Me hitting Diamond yesterday was a really good feeling and with that feeling was a sense of accomplishment knowing i wont have a gold border next season and that I am one of they few people good enough to reach that level of gameplay. But then i heard about the rewards taken away and didn't see it fair when it was out of my control, then that sense of accomplishment, that reward, was all gone, now not getting a border and being labeled toxic next season, What did I even get from grinding out those 600 ranked games except being able to get a border the next year when I hit diamond. That's a whole another Year of grinding for what i should have had this year...

Sorry for the vent also if this is badly written, writing isn't my strong suite but I feel i really had to say this because I care about this game so much. -Thanks for reading this far

You only lose rewards if banned at the end of the current season.

Secondly, if you lose rewards because you're ridiculous enough to allow anyone access to your account, or else you're lying and are responsible yourself for that Teemo match, there's always next year. This isn't your last year you'll ever be able to play League. You miss one year of ranked rewards and you're going to quit after all the other benefits you claim it's brought your life? Really? I think it's time a parent sat you down and gave you the talk about working out your priorities. If League is going to be one of them, not receiving one season's ranked rewards shouldn't make you ragequit like a toddler.

Learn from your goddamned mistakes and earn next season's rewards. Christ.

why would anyone get banned in the first place? if you get banned you deserved it, and i hope you get punished for it. good one riot.

Is there any leniency? I mean it can't be set in stone can it? Riot has to be more reasonable than that (actually...... idk about that lol). Maybe if you sent a support ticket you could get excused. I don't think you deserve not to get your rewards and the fact one game got you banned is shocking to me. Plus this is not someone earning their silver border, you hit diamond which is a rare accomplishment that shouldn't be so easily stripped of meaning. Clarification: You weren't banned for AFK, but for ELO boosting.

Essentially the sole fact YOU played on the friend's PC would be enough of a reason to ban you. I bet he also got banned if was playing on his account on the same day.

The only thing you could do is to write to the Player Support and ask them if there is a way to provide them a proof you weren't "ELO boosting" and maybe they'd untick you from the "Was banned" list.

First: i do not fully believe that it was the reason behind that.

Second: you will still be placed diamond, just won't get the flashy rewards. Is that so.important? I agree it is annoying as hell, but i would rather play ranked for the ranking rather for a border.

This said open a ticked - trying to get pity or attencion on the boards publicily is ulesess for anyone, and check out what they do say.
