Non-Friend Chat Options

So, it's logical to not be able to message someone NOT on your friends list in order to avoid abuse. However, I'd really like to be able to, say, respond to a game invite with more than a 'Accept' or 'Decline.' Especially when it is someone I just played with, not on my list, I don't want to have to add them in order to message them. I don't even know if I'd like to have them as a friend based on ONE game. They could turn out to be a toxic player that I don't want to encourage.

So why not have some chat mechanism that allows me to respond to invites with more than just 'Accept' or 'Decline?' Perhaps a 'Message' button on there as well? I just wanted to tell them "Hey, thanks for the invite, but I won't be playing another!" Or something like that.

I told my friend I would post this and see what happened. Thanks!

I didn't mention this and should have.

I just want to be able to say POSITIVE things to other players if they invite me back. Even if I decline, don't add them, and never end up playing with them again, isn't it nice to get a message appreciating the invite?

Obviously people can abuse this, just as they would abuse the ability to chat with non-Friend players, but at least this limits it to those that get invited to your game. They'll just say "No, you're terrible. L2P" and you'll move on.
