Dota's fun. So is League. Both are fun, but have very different playstyles, slow, typically snowbally in dota, more action skill based in league, and communities,hostile collage students, and Russians and Peruvians who que for english games without speaking it in dota, raging teenagers in league.

TBH, i'd rather have the 0/10 Russian than deal with the flaming that comes from a toxic league player. It gets so much worse here, especially in ranked games. You'll get flamed if you don't follow the meta, have an abnormal build, keep your enemy from another kill when said toxic player runs in 1v3 by not going with him, or even die once. Nonstop surrender attempts and verbal abuse cause a lot more problems with team moral and success than a bad player. Never dealt with anything like it before I joined league, really disheartening.

Whats with everyone bashing Leagues community? Its a playerbase of over 30 million people, and Riot is still tweaking and fixing up its anti a-hole system, which has been working wonderfully, you'd be a complete idiot to think that out of a massive playerbase that is still rising fast, that your not going to meet the occasional toxic player.

But like, I have witnessed raging on every community ever, and hardly see it on league unless another player provokes the rager/toxic player into being an asshat. I feel like when people go on about how toxic the community is, have only witnessed one time its happened to them, and ride the bandwagon everyone else started where they claim it happens ALLLLL the time.

Tldr: Every community has its crappy players, Leagues is far from the worst, people are over exaggerating and jumping on bandwagons, because its "fun" to bash the community when everyone else does.

Honestly i played 1 games of dota and thats it. when the game started i told my team "its my first game ever on dota, any tips would be helpful" then 2 people disconnect within a few seconds then a 3rd says, "yeah im not dealing with this" and then he also disconnects. thats when i closed it out and opened up league.

in short both communities suck but atleast in league when i ask for help on a new champ i get acctually useful help (most of the time) not 3 people disconnecting.
