Can't even join a game...

Trying to get back into this game after a couple years, but I can't even get into a game so far. It's been like 7-8 times in a row so far where people keep leaving during champion select. This is ridiculous. Not everybody has unlimited time on their hands to sit there and select champions for 30 minutes and not actually play a game. I feel bad for anyone who plays League of Legends and has a job... how many games do they get to play, maybe 2 or 3? In Heroes of the Storm, I could select my hero and be in a game in less than 5 minutes.
