Why is it called Riot Games if there is only one game?

Because they intend on developing and publishing more than just League of Legends. I suspect they didn't expect it to become the largest game in the world, so it's taken a lot of focus and time that they might have used elsewhere. When asked a question about Riot developing another game once, I believe it was either Brandon Beck (CEO/Ryze) or Marc Merrill (President/Tryndamere) that said, "We are Riot Games not Riot Game." I know someone from Riot said that, not sure if it was them...

They made more than one game. Just never another on the scale of League.

What Kao said down there- They intend to make more games.And to add, I am happy at Riot completely focusing on League for now because this is one of the reasons it's a great game.

As someone who applied to game design position I read in decription that (if I was accepted) I shall work on League of Legends or any other game Riot Games is working on.

Therfore there is bound to be more games then LoL

I'm sure there will be more games, however if they push focus onto other games, they would probably need more employees to cover for not delaying updates on LoL in which would cost more $$$ and while they do have it, It's possible they wouldn't want to deal with the hassle of hiring new interns especially since there are still plenty of job openings in which I can't say for sure anyone has been applying lately but perhaps after more of them have been filled they'll probably add more members to the new games they're probably developing.
