There's not much to say here... but to ask you kindly to please bring it back. I mute people because I don't want to hear them talk, and I especially don't care to hear their last two cents before I can hit the home button. So, please bring it back.
If you Block someone, they are permanently muted, including lobby chat.
I prefer the way it works currently.
Previously I had to clean out my block list every few weeks. I save my block list for people I really can't stand, or people that threatened me. It's not for people that I merely disagreed with in one game, or muted because I was in a bad mood.
