First of all, I dont usually browse the boards so don't know where to post this. I was wondering.... wouldn't it be nice to be able to see your champions wearing the items you buy in game? E.g. Soraka buys a tome from item shop and she can be seen holding the tome afterwards while you play? I'd like to see your opinions on this!
While it would look nice, it would only increase lag even more. We definitely don't need anything in the game to do that. Lag is bad enough right now.
With the amount of items in the game they'd have to program and how it looks on each individual champion and then the issue of stacking items, like what if you bought thornmail and warmog's as a tank? They're both chest pieces.
While it would be cool, it's impossible to do. However maybe certain items on certain champs maybe. Like how they have special lines for buying items maybe have those show on the champ in a way. Or perhaps a new champion that has certain items show on him/her.
I can't wait to see Jinx running around shooting people with her... swords...?
It might be cool if we only had 1 or 2 items. But it would just look ridiculous. what do you do if someone has like a warmogs and a spirit visage?
Also as jubbinaut pointed out the items don't really match what characters are doing. Champions with guns get stats from swords. every adc running around with 2 great swords(IE and bloodthirster), 2 other blades(phantom dancer), AND a bow and arrow(last whisper)
In the end pretty much every champion and item combination would basically just look silly.
