Restricted for BAD Reason!
So today, I was having fun in ranked playing some Alistar on support. I ended up feeding early game, which happens to all of us right? Our mid-lane zed started flaming me, because "I had no game knowledge" and "Was losing the game for our team" , even though he wasn't doing to good in lane either. He then starts flaming me for "Making bad calls", I try my best not to reply. Once the game results in a defeat, zed starts pleading to report me. Why? What did I do wrong?
The enemy team had 55 Kills, I died 13 times, everyone on the team died around 10 times. Zed was right on the mark. I said :
Why are you flaming me when in the end I did my job, and you did yours, we lost the game and who cares... you can always play another!?
He then leaves the lobby and so do I with the notification that's says I have been chat restricted. For that I was like "ok" , but when I tried to queue up for ranked again I was restricted for that too. 24 Games... In league of legends, that is a lot of games, and that restriction for something I didn't even do. This isn't the first time that I have been chat restricted, some games I have to admit I would flame, but if I did that I would take a nice long break, go over my mistakes and not flame for a long time. Nowadays whenever somebody says report: __ they just assume that what the person is telling them is right.
In the end, I'm not trying to say that occasionally on a bad day I am not salty, because most of the people I know are like this as well. I am not trying to get rid of the restriction [although that would be nice ;) ] , and I am definitely not accusing riot for my mistakes or the players that said to report me. But please, anyone who may be reading this, next time somebody says report: __ in the post-game lobby, here out both sides of the story, and that's only if you are going to report them, did they do anything wrong to you that game? If not just, how about, don't think about it, because you don't have an opinion. Although on the other hand that my team decided to report me for trolling. Which I didn't do, in my opinion. I just want to say why? In fact, what is the overall point?
Think of the system this way. The report system is to permanently or temporarily ban or restrict a player from playing to do recent behavior? Wait back up a second, when you get the notification that you have been restricted it says you are banned for your recent behavior. In this context that means that riot nor the player who banned you, truthfully knows why they reported you. Why doesn't it say, you have been restricted from playing to do your teammates opinion on how you did and that they think that 100% in all (or most) of your games you 1. rage 2. troll 3. feed like bronze 5 in challenger 4. AFK etc. It sounds stupid doesn't it, BECAUSE NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR OTHER GAMES! THEY ONLY CARE IF THEY LOST THEIRS......
This is my final proposition, people report you because they decided to flame at you, or think you were having fun. If you are having fun in a ranked game, while at the same time trying to do you best and win, YOU WILL END UP REPORTED! Also, think before you report an innocent player. And last but not least, if you think you are god because you have more kills then the support and less deaths, consider the fact that their job is to cc, ward, and die so you don't have to.
Anyways I hope somebody reads this and continues the topic elsewhere, it would also be highly appreciated if somebody from riot could read this so they may be able to find a way to fix the system, because this isn't cutting it. Whelp, sigh URGOT TO GO!!
