I've been playing for a few years now and I've noticed that quite frequently after purchasing RP or spending some I am left with an odd number. Like recently I bought my friends some gifts for Christmas, and I was left with 249 RP which is exactly one short from purchasing one of the summoner Icons. I have been thinking that it would be nice if they added a way to give your long term friends your RP that is insufficient to buy anything with. Set regulations like you have to be friends for a month or so, and have to have played X amount of games with the recipient. Also limit it so you can't receive more than 100 RP a month. I'm not sure if this concept has already been brought up, but if not here it is.

They will not do this... Riot has one source of income and it is RP... I think it is unfair that IP cant buy skins or Icons but it makes you want to spend money. If you could grind and play for RP then a majority of people would choose to never buy RP and just wait and save.

I might have not made my thought very clear, i'll try to rephrase it. After you purchase RP and you have a small amount left over (for instance, 50RP ) What do you do with it? You can't purchase anything with that amount, but perhaps one of your friends for 2+years is ten short of a skin they want. My Idea is to allow long term friends to transfer the RP from one account to another. Obviously some restrictions will be needed to prevent abuse but I still think this concept is worth looking into.

Or they could be like any sane game that uses this system and standardize prices.

250 RP-$2.50 500 RP- $5 750 RP-$7.50 1000RP- $10 1500 RP- $15

etc. and only use prices divisible by 250.

I personally like the system they have now. It rewards you with additional RP when you spend more. It makes sense due to RP being one of the only source of income for the company.
