LP clamping

I was curious about LP clamping. I'm currently in platinum 5, and am negative in wins (Something like 92 - 101) and I noticed that I started to gain minute amounts of LP, and lose huge amounts. (~13 LP a win, 20-24 a loss) I was pretty upset at this and I don't see how it makes any sense. Whether I'm tilting or unfit for the elo I'm in, how is it helpful to make someone's mindset more negative with this clamp? How am I expected to progress?

The point behind clamping your LP is so that you either do really good in 10 games and winstreak it up the ass, or you lose so much that you go down to gold 5 and start winning against people who you can actually do well against.
