im a little upset with this to be honst. i would much rather wait mins to get the position i want then to be thrown into a position that i have no will or want to play. i thought this system was going to fix alot of problems with people getting the position they wanted. at this rate Riot might as well go back to the other system. and if anyone from riot reads this PLZ make another game type for ranked, so we can wait for the positions we want.

Why would I play ranked in a role where I can barely play to carry? Rather a role I dominate in? Even in Hi Elo, where players can fill any role but you can clearly see the difference in their gameplay and they're not able to carry as well as if they were in their dominate roles.
Wonderlands1 votesThat's the point of ranked. Let's say you're a gold-skill top laner but bronze in every other lane. Do you think you deserve gold just because you're good in that one lane? You're not always gonna get your lane so would it be fair to your gold teammates that they have a bronze on their team because you didn't get top?
It's ranked because you're expected to play at your skill level in at least 3-4 of the roles.
If this is your skill levels:
Top: Gold Mid: Silver Supp: Silver ADC: Silver JG: Silver
Then you're not gold, you're a silver player.

This queue was the best, I rarely saw anyone complaining about their roles (less they picked fill). Now solo Q is back
"Hey dude can you switch" "I don't play this" "Uh what champ is best in this role".
Yeah high elo players can play all lanes well, but again they have that one lane they really enjoy and excel at.
"Best Top Laner NA" isn't the best top laner na because he can play mid/support as well. He's the best top because he's dominant in top whoever this person may be.
I rather wait 10 minutes to play my favorite role, than 2 minutes to play a role i find utterly boring

Those few times add up to hours. I don't play games to not enjoy them. And I wasn't referring to the player. I was referring to anyone who might a good top laner. When I get into a game, I should be able to get what I want, not be forced into a role I have no wish to play and then expected to perform.
Maximum Morde1 votesYou cant. If they get rid of it the problem with queue times will cause a feedback loop on itself. Right now, it hits a threshold and pushes matches to start so the line can keep moving a bit. If you get rid of it what will happen is the queue will pile up waiting on supports till all supports are in matches. Then the line will grow in time to the ratio of that position to support. For instance if twice as many queue mid as support, the wait will be the length of a match. If three times, then the wait will be the length of two matches. If 4x, length will be 3 match lengths.
To avoid this rediculous wait time they have to shove matches through.
