When can we expect a functional product?

With all the major issues with lag the game is having, apparently the result of DDOS attacks, are we every going to be able to expect a functional game again? or is it inevitable one of three games is just going to be a loss from lag?

Well, when someone gets arrested and tried on felony charges, most of the scrubby hackers are gonna back off. The good ones will stay though, so maybe 1/5 games from lag? Such is the problem with success.
