Rengar's Interaction with Rapid Firecannon

In the preseason patch, they introduced this item Rapid Firecannon . It increases the attack range of the next basic attack at 100 charge. So rengar's passive is a basic attack which is converted into a leap. With this item it increases the melee range of rengar , BUT if rengar's in brush this item doesnt increase any range at all. The item's range increase passive just disappears.

RIOT, what is your opinion on this ? It should work the same for everychamp, even rengar. [zombie-brand-mindblown]

I don't think it's even supposed to work on melee champions, personally.

You ever seen Wukong with this thing? His Q has the range of Ashe's AA's

It works on melee. Try it in game. It is not for ranged only champions, its for everyone.

Came here to complain about it. I don't mind if they left it out intentionally i'd just like them to mention that they did. Works on Ekko E but not Rengar leap ;\
