Goodbye, League of Legends

Recently, I received a 2 week ban. After i got back, i was more than glad to find out that my season 4 ranked rewards were all gone. I used to be proud that i made into platinum by myself, but now it is all gone. I feel bad. But I never question riot's decisions, and never will. Losing a player perhaps means nothing to you either, since im not even good compared to all those challengers. My road on the field of justice seems to come to an end, after all those good and bad memories. I just want to write them down.

I started playing league of legends 3 years ago. Yes, the time whenMordekaiser starts with 12 pots, the time when Evelynn and Shaco buy 5 sunfire capes, the time when Jax could actually 1v5. I still remember the first game I have ever played. I went back to dorm from playing basketball. My friends asked me to download league so we can go 5 man bot game. I was confused i didn't know who to choose, so they asked me to pick a manly one. So i pickedPantheon . Never bought anything and went 0/20. However, after a few bot games, I became more and more interested in this game. My friends told me to stick on an easy champion, and I found Ashe . Literally i only played ashe in bot game from lv 1 to lv 30, not even trying any other champs. And I started thinking i was pretty good, im not a rich guy but still managed to purchase amythest and frelijord ashe skin, cuz they look sick(just forfeit 2 meals, not a big deal).

After I got to lv 30, I started playing normal, that was the time I first got to know the real league community. I played ashe top, support, mid, adc, just not jungle. Most games i would feed, horribly. I got so many people who talked trash to me, in ways I could understand and could not. But back then this game for me was still for fun, I was trying to have fun while getting better. And i encountered some friends online, they were nice and patient, they found me articles about different roles in game, showed me the way to jungle, 1v1ed me to help me get better etc. Most of them are still on my friend list this day, and I feel blessed to have them as my friends.

Still, my ashe games were not going well. So I need to find a champion who is both not too hard and have carry potential. Thats when i foundKatarina . Till now, I think i have played more than 1500 games as her. She became my main champion, and helped me smash through normals. However, there is always something lurking around my ear. "If you are good, why dont you play ranked? you unranked noob who only plays kat in normal". This is what most enemies said to me when I hard carried a normal game as kat. So what is ranked like? I was eager to give it a try.

I started my first ranked game, as kat, obviously, against akali. In champ select my teammates already started talking about counter pick, right summoner spells, like I had an idea what they were talking about. In the loading screen, I saw some of their silver trim, and god knows how I wish I could have a trim one day like them. Surprisingly, after my provisionals I was put in silver 3. I heard that there was victorious skin to be earned if you get yourself to gold, and I started to play more ranked. Sadly, I dropped to bronze, and never made it back.

The game by that time, I would say, was still for fun. And I tried to forget ranked, just be a happy noob and play more normals instead. But there was that one game, that changed my mind forever. It was a normal game in which i was learning khazix jungle with a gold friend. We had a silver lucian on our team. I didn't do very well, and I apologized. However, our lucian kept calling me a bronzie, and threw every filthy word in the world you can imagine to me. Yet I had no way to talk back, firstly I was doing bad, and secondly I was a bronzie. Thats when I learnt the truth: if you are bronze, you are going to get looked down upon by others, no matter in victory or defeat. I made up my mind to play ranked and to get the highest I could.

It was a turning point. The game was not for fun anymore, it became like a task. And I became a toxic player, the group of player who I used to despise and ignore. I talked trash to my teammates when they made mistake, and when I made plays I taunted the enemy. For me, winning meant everything. Finally, in season 4 I climbed from bronze 3 to platinum 5. I could not climb any higher but, If this is the highest I can get, i will accept it. At least no one can call me a bronzie anymore.

In the morning of Nov 11th, as I turned on my computer and played a normal game, I saw the shiny platinum trim around my champion on the loading screen. For a moment, it lighted up my while room, and my mood for the day. Of all the time spent, I finally got something to prove my skill. The trim can speak for itself, I am not a bronzie anymore.

I became more arrogant then I should have been. I started playing some ranked for a friend irl. He lost the first 3 of his provisionals and asked me to play the rest of them. I did. I told my team I was a plat mid main, and hope them to give me mid. Also I told them my account name in game, cuz they asked for it, obviously they didn't believe what I said. I won 5 out of the rest 7 games, and he was placed in silver 4.

This is the last thing I can remember, and after that I got banned. Maybe, riot took away all my ranked rewards because of me playing ranked for that one friend.

I'm not angry, I am just very disappointed. I don't think I will play this game anymore. I have had good memories, and bad memories from league of legends. This game also changed what I am om the internet. For 3 years, I had great fun playing league, and made many fantastic friends. I have fought my way up in ranked and earned what I deserved. The joy of victory, the frustration of defeat, the amazing skins, the champions I love, the friends I used to play with day and night, they are all gone now.

What I have done can not be undone. If the punishment is what I deserve, I will take it. In the end, I want to say thank you riot for making an amazing game. It is the best game I have ever played. League of Legends opened a door to a new world for me, but I think my journey on the field ends here. I hope League of legends can always be the most popular game in the world, and hope everyone will enjoy it.

Thank you Riot and League of Legends. For making my life more fun and colorful.

Good riddance, I can only hope Riot bans more people who ruin lower ranked players games.

I think it is not the fact that he disgrace it being banned. I think it's the way how he got banned, just because of the fact that ( And we all know about this ) The league community is most of the time very toxic and the way he got banned, in my eyes is very unjustful.

My friend I can only say that I am happy for you that you've had your fun over the past few years in this game and may you shine once more in a different game.
