Loss Prevented System

Ok I am gonna talk about something that needs to be clearly discussed because this is confusing me and a lot of other people. The Loss Prevented System is a good idea because in the event of server problems, people in game will not be penalized for a loss. But what actually justifies a loss prevention? Because on two occasions I have had 3-4 people in the game disconnecting and reconnecting over and over again in what looks like server problems which would justify a prevented loss but when I get to the end game screen after we lose because of the server problems, we dont get a loss prevented. I just finished my gold promotion series and 5 people in my last game kept disconnecting and reconnecting after a huge lag spike that everyone felt. Everyone though it would be loss prevented and our mid laner even said loss prevented was enabled. Then when I get into the end game screen it says no loss prevented and I lose my series. This is really confusing and to be honest its really stupid that everyone can have a huge lag spike and people on both teams complain about the server problems and we dont get a loss prevented? This system needs to be clarified because I'm tired of getting 3 dc's on my team and still not get anything back when we have no control on whether we win or lose. I am sure I am not the only person to have ever wondered about this and im definitely not the first person this has ever happened to. It just sucks that after working hard to get promoted to gold, it all comes crashing down in the last game because 5 people on both teams disconnect and throughout the rest of the game people on both teams are complaining about lag and nothing happens.... I just dont understand why some games just randomly get loss prevented and the games that are actually experiencing the lag dont get anything. This needs to be explained or fixed somehow. Ok im done ranting now lol.
