Permanently banned in 20 minute intervals?

I was disconnected due to a storm in New York, yesterday. Because of this, and storms in the past + family Netflix abuse and Comcast being the bastard child of Satan, I have had a few problems with staying connected in the last few winter months. This is of course, rare, as I enjoy the game, and hate the game when I lag, so I avoid it. The problem is I don't know I have a lag problem til the game that disconnects me.

This time, however, I received a 20 minute ban (fair enough) and I though OK, Ill just chill and let the timer run out. It ran out, then the client disconnected before I could join a queue. It just closed itself, I do not know why. Then, when I reopened it to play, I had to wait 20 minutes again. This has been a problem ever since. If I am perma-banned, just f**king tell me... don't tease me with some Sisyphean BS like that. Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do? I've only disconnected 3 times (as far as I can recall) in the last 2 or so months.

When you're banned, your login attempt will fail with an error message.

You may want to try uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling the game if your client is closing itself like that.

You're not "banned", you're in low priority queue because of disconnects.

Yes, players have reported that if you DC while waiting for the queue to tick down, it will reset. I don't know if this is a bug or not; try the bug report forum.

You are most likely losing package before the timer runs out which result in the client rebooting
