Why are there no skeleton champions?
In almost all works of fantasy, there are animated skeletons. League of legends, however, is rather lacking in this aspect. Karthus doesn't count even if he's called a lich. He's covered by a giant robe and looks more like zombie now, anyways. Sion is close, but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades!
Just imagine the bone jokes and puns you could make about a skeleton champion! How humerus they could be!
The design would be easy too! The character could be some other abomination from the Shadow Isles. Skeleton Knight, Skeleton Archer, Skeleton Mage... Almost infinite possibilities!
In a game with dragons, trolls, wizards, spiders, bears, catfish abominations, void spawn, bird monsters, rocks, rock throwers, zombies, blobs, and Teemos there is a distinct lack of skeleton humor! This gaping wound cannot be left untreated. This affront to basic fantasy-setting decency will not stand.
Reasons we need a skeleton champion:
- A skeleton character would have amazing taunts for Nasus!
- He could play fetch with Kog'maw
- Funny bones would be tickled
- Death animations would never be as fun as a skeleton collapsing into a pile of bones
- Why didn't the skeleton champion dive the tower with his team? He didn't have the guts for it!
- Skeletons can have fun rattling noises
- More bone jokes
- Give Karthus a cool friend
- Megalovania would be his unofficial theme song
- Darius could make a skeleton bleed
Reasons not to have a skeleton champion:
- Too many bone jokes
- Nasus would be his natural counter
- Megalovania could only be played so many times in a row before it gets annoying
