Toxicity is worse than ever, or so it seems.
Everyone knows that League's community is notorious for being extremely poor behaved. Insults and immature behavior being used like it's common courtesy. I remember after the ribbon system was introduced, people's attitude perked up, and everyone seemed nicer. but once that fad died down, it seems the fire has returned, and it's larger. Recently I've had a large string of poor performances in my games. I'm nowhere near as good as I once was, and I know that. I don't need toxic players constantly reminding me that I'm not the player I used to be. I know, I shouldn't even gratify them with attention, but it's hard. It's hard when a player will start abusing you then making it public domain by putting their abuse into all chat, so that the enemy team knows he has a problem with you. I'm not in a good place mentally right now, so it's really frustrating when I get put on the defensive to these children who plague this community. I know what needs to be done in order to avoid these conflicts, so why can't I just mute them or ignore them? I want to make a season 5 comeback, and climb to ranks higher than I ever have... But knowing how mean and poorly mannered the community can be at times makes it really hard to see myself wanting to make it further. I've played league for about 2 1/2 years, and I think my desire to better myself is simmering down. If you're reading this, I just want to take a moment to say: there is a person on the other side. Your abuse does not go unnoticed.
