All this time, I laughed and dismissed the people who said that we needed more than 6 bans. Into a ranked game I go...

I'll admit, I was wrong.

Shame on me.

(It's not even really the champions in a lot of cases, it's recent reworks/new items that are just putting a lot of them waaaay over the top. I was completely blindsided when Udyrs started being able to 1v3 while taking down 2 towers at once and still get away, and Xins being able to jump into dragon pit, get the steal, and win a 1v4 without even having his sated finished. I honestly hate going against the company cause I love Riot to death, but balance lately has been... er... not healthy. You typically use bans to keep currently op/broken/unhealthy champions from being abused, but there are so many to choose from right now that... it's kinda hard to keep ALL of them out.)

Riot made a statement late in season 5 when they buffed juggernauts. They said they wanted to make a bunch of OP picks so players couldn't ban out EVERYTHING. Well, guess what riot? This season, balance has been alot worse and theres so many OP picks now that a team could have their plan A comp banned out but still fall back on plan B which also has really strong picks as well. How is that balanced?

I don't mind not having all the OP champions bannable. People should be able to get a chance to play their champions, as they have no control over the state of balance in the game.

What I do mind is having to spend my entire game trying to shutdown or otherwise deal with these champions. It's like last season. Is rengar up? Yep. Ok, let's wait until we catch rengar out THEN push.

I personally don't really see the problem with Soraka. She's a heal battery just like before her rework, she just can't give mana now. Just like before, you focus her (with any assassin, fighter, or anyone that can get to the backline, really), and either she blows her ult to TRY to survive, or just dies.

I agree with all of those except Rengar (can still oneshot people in mid game with minimal counterplay), but they're common bans in low-low/mid elo.

I keep seeing posts about the number of bans increasing, is this confirmed? I couldn't seem to find anything anywhere else on the boards..I must have missed it?

I don't believe it's a change that's happening, but it's a change that a lot of people want due to the massive power spike in several champions lately.

The ones on your list actually aren't too bad.

-Mundo is still pretty strong, yeah, my only problem is his ability to do massive damage while being so tanky. -Elise got nerfed back down but she's not in her crap state anymore. -Fiora... just please, please fix the riposte to be reasonable. -I... actually don't know a problem with Kindred. If they get fed, they scale giga-hard. That's their core gameplay. -Poppy, I'll admit she's doing a little too much damage lately for building straight tank, but that's itemization I believe. -I personally don't understand the problem with Soraka? As a person that's played since around s2, I've always known that "if Soraka is keeping everyone alive, focus her instead." I'd figure that would work just as well now, especially since she can't heal herself easily. -Agree with Xin. -My only problem with Tahm is his W. I know the %health is supposed to make him viable in many roles, but that combined with his Ult's passive damage make him quite overbearing in both support and jungle. -...What's the problem with Janna? She's the queen of peel. She hasn't even gotten changed recently, the only real "buff" to her was the introduction of Windspeaker's Blessing.
