Never surrender.

League of Legends Match History

Hello. I am in Bronze 1 right now, trying to climb as high as possible. Aiming for gold by the end of the season.

Let's get to the point - never surrender in ranked. (Unless your ADC has 54 farm at 15 minutes, or the score is 19-2 for the enemy. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1769282568/219791987?tab=overview

In this game linked, I was playing Heimerdinger top because it's a pretty easy way to win in a low ELO because it limits the enemies farm because they're gonna need to lose half their health if they want a few CS that are in your turret's range. I was very frustrated and expecting to lose lane against the Tryndamere I was against. He can normally one shot your turrets after he picks up a Static Shiv.

As soon as I locked in Heim, our Azir started flaming at me and Lux. He wanted me to play Aatrox to "counter" Tryndamere. When we got into the game, it was a flame-fest between our Jinx, Lux, and Azir. Lux was throwing around racist slurs, and Azir was making immature mom jokes, and insults. I knew I was in for one hell of a game.

As soon as our J4 gave firstblood from a countergank at mid from Olaf, Lux exploded at Azir (Lux and J4 were a duo). I told Lux that Azir didn't do anything wrong and to just chill out - we can still win.

After that, Tryndamere got really greedy pre-six and tried to all in me in my turrets. I managed to kill him, but he was really kind about it. Something you don't see often in bronze and silver.

Halfway through the game, bot lane was wasn't doing well at all. Lux was had no kills and 5 or 6 deaths, and Jinx had 80 cs at 20 minutes. Azir was slowly getting fed, and I'm still the only one that has a positive KDA. Jinx and Lux wanted to surrender, and it was getting to the point where Lux was throwing out too many N words at Azir. I tried to reassure them that we can still win if we group up and fight them 5v5.

We finally had a good fight in their base with baron, and we took the mid tower and inhib. At this point no one was talking in the chat - we were concentrating so hard cause we knew we could win.

In the final fight Jarvan engaged with ult and followed up with a ult E to stun everyone that he had inside his ult so that Jinx and Azir could do tons of damage to them, and we aced them to end the game.

So, TD;LR: NEVER surrender in ranked unless you're SURE you can't do anything about it. Think positives: do we have outscale them with Vayne and Jax? Do we have a good 5v5 with Amumu, Galio, and Katarina?

I hope everyone learned something from this - even though I'm just a Bronze Skrub. :) summoner 31 summoner 31 Heimerdinger

Yeah, like this game I just played! It was stressful, toxic, and it felt like the enemy team always had control of the game, AND THEN- oh. We still lost by a landslide, and it was a depressing waste of energy.

But the game before that! We were losing hard straight from the start. I was sure my team had no chance, but my team insisted we press on! We fought valiantly for 13 more mintutes, AND ... we got hopelessly demolished.

Alright, fine, two in a row, but what about the loss before that? We weren't too far behind, but everyone was just dying so much, especially our ADC. Our Nasus disagreed though! "Trust me, I'll scale into a monster" he convinced the team. We stalled the game as long as possible, AND - we got destroyed. Again.

Why don't people ff at 20? I will never know.
