Hey Riot I found this on the internet and you guys NEED to see it I don't know if you will see this but I really hope one of you guys do this is amazing and I think its such a big upgrade and I really do believe your players would love it :D
So, overall, two main things:
Riot is indeed working on the client, but it's a lot more complex than redesigning the User Interface. As far as I'm aware, Riot is re-coding the client from scratch, completely redesigning it from the ground up. The current client is locked to Adobe Air, which creates some severe limitations as far as what Riot can develop is concerned. They want to basically remove this technical debt entirely, and this process can take a really long time.
Certain parts of that design, especially the champion select screen, have significantly less clarity than the currently implemented areas of functionality. The proposed champion select screen in that example has a lot of iconography that just isn't needed, as well as a lot of wasted space and emphasis on champions not chosen rather than the ones the teams are using.
