Card Sharp?

Specifically, "card sharp" and "card shark" are almost interchangeable terms.

I thought that until I did a little research. They're both considered correct, and at least in the US, they're becoming recognized as having slightly different meanings/implications.

A card sharp is a person who takes advantage of other players by cheating.

A card shark is a person who merely takes advantage of less-skilled players. Notably, it doesn't carry the implications of cheating.

That said, the "sharp" variant did come first.
