Quick Question about reporting

So I'm trying to climb to diamond within a week or two on this new account right? I'm currently plat 4 in promos to plat 3. I get reported almost every single game by my own team mates just for giving them constructive feedback like "if you warded this bush instead cho gath you would have seen the gank top" or "don't initiate, they're ahead, wait for the jungler" blah blah etc etc. What I'm asking is do these reports effect my account at all? Because the message after the game says "you have been reported for verbal abuse etc etc" even when I'm not being negative. It's like people refuse to try to get better at the game

Reports flag games for review. And cases run off number of games with reports, not total reports made (that's to protect solo players from getting troll-reported by premades).

That said, few people like getting advice in the middle of a competative game. It's distracting and they might see it as condescending--especially if they know they screwed up a play. Pointing it out like that just rubs their nose in it and starting with "If you..." sounds accusatory and puts the other player on the defensive.

Additionally, typing stuff distracts you from playing. No matter how fast you are, you still have to hit 'enter' to open chat, type out your message (during which you can't cast spells/abilities and probably aren't moving), hit 'enter' to send it, and get your fingers back to the right keys. The longer the message, the more time it'll take you to get back to playing.

When Tribunal was still up, I didn't consider long messages to be even close to an instapunish, but the more chat I saw, the more I wondered if that person was really playing or not.
