The queue dodgeing punishments are too steep

I believe that a 5 minute ban for skipping one queue as a first offense is kind of steep. Like come on Rito somtimes shit happens and your afk or tabbed out and then they hit you with a 5 minute after just one miss??? I understand if your a repeat offender but why can't there just be a small slap on the wrist like there used to be for players who time and time again do not miss queues or skip.
