Riot just gifted me a skin that i already have????????

i logged in today and notification says riot gifted me overlord malzahar skin, but the problem is that i already have that skin, so its like they didnt give me anything,its not that i dont appreciate the generosity, it just makes me feel a bit trolled. is this a bug,?or can i change it to other skin or anything that i dont have?
