I've had enough of Riot's blatant sexism. The Tristana remodel with her stomach showing is ridiculous. You made a whole new model just so you can sexualize one of the few unsexualized female champions. And don't come at me with that BS about Rek'Sai. Either women are monsters or over sexualized beings there is no inbetween for Riot it seems. Playing Janna is ridiculous the way she talks and her jokes. You are one of the biggest games in the world and you can take a stand against the way women are treated in video games. I've lost all respect for this company.

Not this again, look, no one wants to have this conversation at all because even if someone explains to you that League is really not that bad you can just hide behind ad hominem and claim they're being sexist as well.

Are there oversexualized female characters in League? Yes. Are there oversexualized male characters in league? Yes. Is male over-sexualization a lot less of an issue than the female counterpart? Yes.

At best this is a bait post to incite an untenable argument, good day sir/madame.

As a side note: Men can walk down the street w/o a shirt on, Women can't ( in most places, situations ).

Not trying to start an argument for Any viewpoint just saying what is socially acceptable in the norm.

At a glance, all of these champions are hardly "sexualized" unless you're stretching for reason, and this is going off base skins and release skins. To argue they are "sexualized" by armor/clothing/decor/etc. is most likely due to thematic referencing in most cases.

Yes, there are sexualized women. But Riot is hardly objectifying women that they can only be this way. You're just griping because you've nothing better to do with your life.

Do we ever complain about the fact Varus is actually "butt" naked? You actually can see his butt on his character model I am not kidding. And those ain't his pants, it's furs, he really is butt naked in the game.

Or what about one of LoL's most iconic character, Lee Sin, being top naked.

And a shiet ton of people like Zac, Alistar, Mundo, Tryndamere, Sion, Gragas, Urgot, Braum etc, do we complain about them being sexualised males?

Yasuo, one of the newest male champion, has his belly hanging outside too, where is your complaint on that?

Why haven't you mentioned female champs like Vi, Poppy, Lux, Lulu, Kayle, Quinn, Vayne, Sejuani or Riven etc who are fully clothed, or Kalista being an ugly female banshee, Rek is a void creature etc?

Who is the real sexist here I wonder, man don't I really wonder.

Specifically this : A few things here:

Of those fully armored ladies posted, only one of them (Kayle) does NOT have a cleavage/tummy-exposing/semi-sexualized skin added in the game- and even then she gets the boob-cut armor anyway (entirely impractical and only there to remind you SHE HAS BREASTS)
Of those “sexualized” men- of which I would NOT throw in Tryndamire cuz he was NOT made with women’s fantasies in mind (though if that is what gets your skirt in knots of passion, good for you) but rather a bulked up, hyper testosterone-fueled male power fantasy- ALL of them get wholly covering clothing/armor skins. The only guy on there that is even close to matching something sensual is Varrus, and ALL of his later skins completely cover it up. And I failed to see you mention that Sejuani basically has a bikini skin as well. There is not ONE male character created with ONLY revealing/objectified/sexual outfits. The same is so far from true for the females where you have more than a few that are solely sexual and literally only ONE with a humanoid adult body that has NO blatently sexual armor.
I failed to see any male eye candy show up in pretty much ANY LoL teaser video presented as the example (closest I can think of is Ryze in a previous vid, and even then it’s not for sexual objectification purposes) while Ahri, Zyra and Katarina are all jumping around in blatently revealing “armor”- And ALL the women have completely interchangable heart-shaped barbie faces, while the men show up with uniquely designed faces that make it very difficult to confuse them.
Where are the NON SEXUALIZED female equivalents to Alistar, Blitzcrank, Mundo, FUCKING GRAGAS, Kah’Zix, Maokai, Olaf, Ramus, Shaco, Sion, Thresh, Zilean, ET-FRAKING-CETERA. (I didn’t even list all the varieties of men that get created) How can you even begin to compare the endless list of impossibly proportioned art created for the girls against the bulked up/fattened/slimy/robotic/scrawny/insectoid options the men all have???
While I do enjoy League and find a lot of the characters interesting, defending this blatant inequality in character design is going to make an already terrible problem worse. Blizzard on the other hand (barring any comparison between LoL and WoW in regards to gameplay/community/etc) has created a HUGE diversity in character builds- including buff/fat/skinny/sexy/older/dark/light alike in BOTH genders. (not saying Blizzard’s designs are not flawed in any way, but there is a CLEAR distinction over which one is more accepting of differently shaped women) Riot has a LONG way to go before I would call it diverse (and I didn’t even go into the fact that there is literally ONE black person in Riot’s bag o’ diversity)

Why do people pull Yordles into sexism arguments?

They're animals.

Sure, they're anthropomorphic and a civilized, English-speaking society.

They're still animals. Look at their ears. Look at the males' noses. Look at their feet.

We don't even know if they're mammalian. The males may have some feline features, but It's not Earth, it's a fantasy world. We don't even know what sort of genitalia they have. Maybe they use cloacae.

"But wait," you say, "why aren't the females furry, too?" That's simple. The female Yordles weren't originally Yordles. In the early days of LoL, Yordles and Meglings were two distinct short species, but Riot retconned them into a single species. Instead of completely redesigning every one of them, they made a few changes (adding the ears to the females) and left the differences explained by sexual dimorphism.

People screaming about sexualized females always say Rek'Sai doesn't count because she's a monster. So why do Yordles count? Why does a bare midriff have to mean a design is sexualized? Many cultures don't find nudity in itself to be sexual. Maybe the design team just thought it looked cool. Maybe they decided it was an aesthetic cue to her agility? If they decided to put pants on Rek'Sai's rear legs and a leather vest covering her upper torso and top half of her front legs, would she be sexualized because her midsection is bare?

If you're certain that Yordles are styled as sexually appealing, maybe it's not Riot who has an issue...

I'd save your complaints for whenever they decide to remodel Poppy. She's about as "unsexualized" as can be.
