Randomly got banned?

Yesterday I was playing league of legends and I finished my match and went to the main menu, I forgot that I had the game open and went outside to hangout with my dog and parents and when I came back it said the afk pvp.net thing came up so I closed my client and re-launched it and when I went to sign in it said incorrect password. So I tried like 12 more times and because concerned and tried changing my password and email, but every time I tried to change either it said they were both invalid. So I tried to sign in on my level 5 account and the same thing kept happening. I asked my friend about it and he said that it might be disabled while they fix bugs. So I went to bed and I tried it all again this morning and it still doesn't work, just wondering if I got IP banned fr something? I know I have had like 8 months worth of chat restrictions but I don't think I deserve an IP ban. I believe that I have been either IP banned or my account has been hacked. Someone please help and give me any information you have. Thanks.

I'm so confused as to what is actually happening. When you say you forgot you had the game open do you mean actually in a game, or in the Main Client? i dont see how anyone could "forget" if you were actually in a game (unless your games are in windows and you have other things open/Alt+Tab) but if it was in the Main Client it doesnt do anything for AFK since you arent in a game.

Then the problem with an incorrect password. if the first two times didnt work you should have just did the whole Forgotten Password thing to help with being emailed a new password. Since you did it 12 times most places have a cap on how many times you can input a password and if you do end up going over you are locked out on your account for anywhere between a couple of minutes to days. Im not sure how Riot/LoL works with this type so i cant help you in that!

I dont think you gotten ban, if anything check your email which you used to make a LoL account and see if they given you any type of Reform card email. thats usually how you can tell if you gotten ban if you cannot access your account on the client.

If not and you believe you are inputting your correct information then it does seem like you account has been compromised. Have you done anything recently like downloaded something suspicious, anyone asked for your information on League of legends? I do remember the who fiasco about the whole fake Pool Party Promotion where people would ask friends to help try and get them points to unlock the skins. i would think if people did that they could have gotten your information from that. Also you could have bought an account, which would make sense as to why the password and other information could be invalid. but that seems unlikely.

If anything i would try and contact Support, but i think you need to be logged in in order to contact them, but i could be wrong. So it wouldnt hurt to try. Just try and give the Support Team any information they need to know to make sure you are the actual person who owns the account!

Riot doesn't issue IP bans anymore. They don't work and cause lots of collateral damage.

If you are banned it should tell you that when you try to log in, rather than a normal "wrong password" message. They also send an email to the address you have registered on the account explaining the ban and when it will be lifted.

It's possible your account was compromised? Have any games been played on it?

In any case, you can contact Support here to try to sort it out: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/requests/new
