So, What is the situation on Bard?

I was gone for roughly 3ish months ( Came back and PC couldn't handle LoL very well, so I stopped after a game or three. ) and I'm curious as to the standings with Bard.

Today someone queue dodged because I picked him, and then someone trolled champion selected because he didn't want to go bottom with me as Bard.

I've been playing him in normals a lot with friends all night and have had very good success.

Has anything really. Changed? Like, has the playerbase finally accepted Bard? or what's the situation on him?

Really low win rate. (40% or something) People think he sucks

The awareness you need to be successful with bard eludes a lot of players, even in higher ranks. He is not one of those champs that use their nuke potential to burst down a target and then let the adc clean up. He is highly dependent on map awareness and positioning, on landing is skillshots and using his tunnel the correct way. He is hard to master and therefore not viable in low elo. I am low elo and i do not play with bard supports anymore. It just does not work.
