New game type V.I.P.!

The game would start out exactly like a normal game on The Rift, but after 5 minutes into the game there would be a random champion on both teams "targeted." The object of this game type would be to kill the opponent V.I.P. while protecting your own. The first team to 20 or so V.I.P. kills is declared victorious. Killing an enemy champion that is not the targeted champ will not result in any team points, but still rewards gold like normal. When a champion is selected as the target champ, they no longer have the ability to return to base or buy items, they need to rely on their team to protect them, as well as participate in the fight as well. Other teammates still retain the recall ability and can buy at any time. After one of the V.I.P.'s are taken down there would be a one minute interval before a new V.I.P. is chosen, possibly resetting all champs to pool? Keeping all existing items of course. There would have to be some sort of fail safe preventing champs from just sitting on pool until V.I.P. is selected keeping them on base and essentially keeping them out of harms way, such as their pool laser turning on them after the one minute interval has passed. What do you think?

Sounds like it would need more of like a maze map. Not like insane but where you can run around corners quickly and lose a tail. And with more players like 7v7 or even 10v10 but that could get a bit much. Or even have it where you have to get your vip to the other side without dying and before the other team does. What you think?

This would be a great idea, but I have some suggestions. Firstly, there should be a separate, bigger map. Also, 5v5 seems like there are too little people. maybe a 7v7? (more than 10v10 would be crazy). Also, there should be separate spawn points on the map (# of how many people are playing) and should work like a Howling Abyss pool so that they can't just stay there and heal. There should also be no turrets, but you should be able to buy items similar to Heimy's turrets, as a viable replacement for the normal turrets. The 20 points system seems like a lot, I think it should be something like 25 points and each non-VIP kills rewards 1 point, while VIP kills rewards 5 points. Also, the VIP should not be able to attack, so that the enemy can identify who is the VIP, although it would still be challenging. I agree with your "1 minute break" idea, so you should keep that.

it sounds like an ok idea but maybe instead of a random champion it could more of a giant mob of some kind. and it wouldnt be allowed to go within the range of enemy turrets or something like that. or maybe their could be team zones where only that team can enter and leave freely where enemys arent allowed. of course the vip would have to leave the area and as long as their is more then one exit the enemy wouldnt be able to camp.

Sounds like it would be sweet. I think a different map would be needed though and the targeted champ should always have a red dot on the mini map so he cant just go hide or something. Along with the safe zone idea it could have like 5 exits but still have a laser to kill enemies if they entered. Due to the objective of killing the V.I.P. a nexus would no longer be in the game. Seems like a good idea though.

It's an interesting concept, to be sure, but I feel like it could lead to some unfair matches. For example, what happens if a Teemo is VIP? just let him stealth in an innocuous corner or something, make sure his teammates fake like they're protecting a different area, gg.

I would suggest that the VIP starts taking damage if his/her teammates are too far away. This would encourage the team to stick together. Also, perhaps a small defensive buff to the VIP and a similar offensive buff to the "bodyguards" that gets stronger the fewer people that remain. So, if it ends up with only one player and the VIP left, they have a fighting chance, or at least a running one, against a full team.
