I have to wonder about this:
If you females can be prejudiced, and it's acceptable for you to be prejudiced, then this implies that prejudice is not a bad thing in and of itself.
So if you say that prejudice is not a bad thing in and of itself, how can prejudice + power be a bad thing?
Even if power is a bad thing by itself (which MAY be your assertion), prejudice would NOT just become a bad thing because the person holding it has power. ** So either you have to admit that prejudice is also a bad thing (which means you would be guilty of it and should stop it), or that prejudice is not a bad thing and thus the burden is on you to further justify why it becomes bad in a particular scenario.**
I dunno. As I understand this feminist argument, oppression is the problem (it alludes to the idea that everything comes down to oppressor vs. oppressed), and oppression results from the power + prejudice, but why is the prejudice bad when acted on but not bad when held quietly? At best, this implies that feminists, who are also prejudiced, will become the oppressors if they were to acquire power; which makes it entirely possible for women to oppress men in those specific scenarios where women possess the power (say, as the boss of a company). This would also imply that in THAT scenario, the woman CAN be sexist...
But this starts to get into the patriarchy theory where patriarchy pervades ALL social interactions and thus negates the power any women may possess in an individual scenario.................. Sheesh.
