I would have like to thought Riot had enough money to stop a bunch of nobodies ddosing the servers... They're one of the biggest game companies and this still happens. :O I'm sure it isn't as easy as it sounds, but they should have more knowledge then a little hacking group. Will they give the community a gift for this nonsense? Like an IPboost, or a mystery chest?
I highly doubt it was as simple as a ddos attack on the servers.

So many things wrong with what you just posted...I mean money is not going to fix a DDoS nor is DDoS even a hack. Like Marasoh said, Riot has always had issues after a patch or maint that is nothing new. And no they will not give the community free stuff. The game itself is free so that is all we are entitled to.

i googled ddos and it came up with how to grow a plant where no police can find it. WTF
I think you are the one without knowledge here. Look up what a DDos attack is in google or wherever you get your info.
This is sad, Riot. Get your shit together before I send in a support ticket. 
It isn't easy stopping this from happening. Its easy to break things but its hard to keep things running smooth.

Look at it this way. Riot can't have a patch or maint without breaking something and thus having to disable something for an extended period of time. If they don't even know how to properly update their game without ruining something in one way or another, they probably don't care enough to have any sort of firewall to protect against hackers.
