Axe Vs Darius

Axe

Now I know mentioning Dota 2 gives everyone here a heart attack, but its fun, harmless theorycrafting really, completely benign. Now, to set some ground rules: -Darius has full runes/masteries, we can theorycraft with any combination of them -Axe has neither runes, nor masteries, but he has summoner spells. -Only LoL items will be used, I can't imagine how much havoc would tear through a game if someone could get a BKB or Blademail -Aghanim's Scepter is the exception for purchases since it can have such a huge impact, it will give 8 armor, 390 health, 280 mana, and 10 AD, and it will cost 2100 gold, and will be made from a Kindlegem, Sapphire Crystal, and a Longsword. For LoL champions it will simply give 20% CDR instead of its Ultimate effects for Dota heroes. -Please read up on how the mechanics of each character works before posting -For simplicity's sake we'll say that Axe's base stats equal his Level 1 stats. This is a weird mechanic that goes along with Dota's attribute system. -Armor works exactly the same way as it does in LoL, the conversion between systems is 1 armor in Dota is the same a 6 armor in LoL -Be respectful! This isn't meant to be a LoL vs Dota argument over "which game is better" because that all comes down to personal opinion, plus if one hero/champ wins overall, that is by no means indicative of what game is better, they are completely different games after all! -Have fun!

Axe wins. Counter Helix is RNGEsus's love child and lets all Axe players proc it every single fucking time...I hate Axe.

Ugh the options are so tough, Tiny vs Malphite sounds interesting but Meepo vs Teemo.

I guess I'll kick this off myself. I personally haven't played Darius much at all, so I wouldn't be much to talk about this, but I'll state Axe's strengths and weaknesses. Axe has an incredible ability to clear waves with his Counter Helix, and his Battle Hunger makes him an incredible lane bully, unless the enemy can clear waves well too. Considering the relative ease of last hitting in LoL, especially since its a solo lane, I think this skill will be somewhat gimped. Axe's insane base hp regen of +3 hp per second, or 15 hp per 5, would give him godlike sustain in lane. 10 armor to start though will be abysmal so he will be very vulnerable to harass from Darius for the first part of the game, but an armor gain of about 2.5 per level will help with that. However, the ability to gain 240 armor for 3.2 sec. with his Berzerker's Call is not to be underestimated (in case you didn't know, Dota's numbers are really crazy). If Axe can manage to pull an advantage in lane though, his ultimate will cause some serious problems for Darius with its refreshing execute being comparable to Darius ult at level 3, while also giving a mini Jinx passive to him and nearby allies.
