Season 4: Rise of the assasin jungle.

So with the new update that came out, i realised that the jungle has almost the same gold as a laner. With that, i came to the conclusion that the assasin junglers could get their build faster, wich mean you could probably see a rengar rushing BT and destroying mid and bot... Same goes with aatrox, nocturne and so on. While assasin junglers get their pride back, the tanky junglers kind of fall off in mid game compared to the assasins. Ofc the late game is different, but i believe riot needs to do something about the bruisers in the jungle.

In my option, this remains to be seen. While they editted the jungle to make it easier for Junglers to get gold, they also buffed the camps, making them harder to kill. I play as Shyvana, and she loves the new system with how fast she can clear camps, but my early game is so much weaker than before.

Also, until you see a nerf to the Relic Shield item, you won't see as much dedicated jungling. We'll have to wait for now.

I wonder though if assassin junglers could help counter the Relic Shield stacking if you can build damage quickly while people are still upgrading to Face of the Mountain. If you blow up the people who have sustain and gp/10 instead of combat stats, you can probably keep killing them.

I do agree that Relic shield needs some attention, and I'm not sure if the change on PBE (reduce max stacks to 3 instead of 4) is going to help enough. I'd rather slow the rate of charges, at least on the first item, and maybe it could go back to 30 seconds after an upgrade or two. That way there isn't so much gold/sustain advantage to help snowball things early.

Actually, fully upgrading it is unnecessary. The extra gold you get from it during laning phase covers the cost. You can just sell it when you build your last item or when you need extra gold.

With that said, the active from the last item is pretty good on supports though; put it on your tank/bruiser at the start of a fight and you can get some extra damage in while protecting him from harm.

Yeah, it all depends on how the laners build, ward and the CC they get from skills to prevent successful ganks.
