Ashe no longer viable?

Recently, a former friend of mine who mained Ashe decided to try her again. I supported him as Braum, something we had previously done well at (before the preseason). Things didn't go well at all. Trades resulted in little/no damage on either the enemy support or ADC. In the next few days, we fought an Ashe in a Ranked game. THis was my second Ranked game in a long time, and we stomped the poor Ashe. She didn't do the damage expected of an ADC, so getting fed was easy, even with a few five-man ganks. I'm not sure how it is in higher-tier Ranked or Pro games, but Ashe seems to be no longer the abusive laner she previously was. I don't recall changes being made to her with the Marksman Update, so she should have still done fine. Whether her kit is now outdated and underpowered, or just that the new items don't really favor her, she doesn't seem to be a viable choice. I just want to see her be a regular pick again, rather than a seldom-seen one.

I had this problem in tell I did this. Not that this is the best way but helps he early game alot.

I get alot of kills after 10 mins with this order.

I somtimes dont even get E intell my W is maxed for the extra attack. yes i lose vision but i rely on my wards more.

I will probley be flamed for suggesting this but this is what has worked for me.

Yeah i agree. Played a lot of ashe before her rework and in my opinion probably the best kiter and sticky adc out there. She saw a lot of play after her rework and was fairly strong when most adcs werent rushing heavy crit but nowadays every adc has about 3 crit items so her guarantee crit for 150% damage is barely anything compared to 70-80% crit chance for 220%. Her lane presence just isnt there anymore. Not exactly sure why but it feels like her base stats are lacking and trading is poor with her q ramp up time.

ashe isnt designed to be an abusive laner, she is the "you come to me and ill eat you" carry. she has a legit stun, name other adc's with a stun? she isnt meant for winning lane, rather picks, and teamfight support dps

Sorry to go off topic, but that first sentence made me curious. Did you mean that you're regularly playing with someone who is no longer your friend? Or did you mean that your friend is a former Ashe main?

I mean, ADCs are all about skill. Any ADC is viable if you're Good at the role. When MF was garbage I played her a ton and still won lane every time lol

She is a utility marksman. She really is no different than Sivir. You won't be seeing Sivir gets kills much in lane but she is scary in teamfights.

Her point during laning is to farm til teamfights and use her arrow to initiate, and use her slows to just be a pain while also dealing outstanding damage. Ashe with her Q deal heavy damage too. I have as well as have seen others use her and literally mowed tanks down damn near as fast as a Vayne, which does a 3rd of your hp in true damage due to her dumb passive.

And unlike every other ADC, she has no escape if jumped on. (I am at the point I don't even consider Kog Maw an ADC, he is worthless even with a comp solely meant to protect him) So between the no safety of her and she isn't as powerful of a big damage adc like say jynx is why people don't play her so much, but she is easily one the biggest ones to make plays if she is played well.
