This would be awesome, to be able to watch summoners play on the Rift like a real sport. Being able to look across the map just by moving your head. Seeing champions like they were small people on a table in front of you. . To be clear this would only be available in spectator mode. RIFT ON THE RIFT BABY!!
why would riot speed that much time and effort on a product that at least 95% of their community dont own.
If riot doesn't do it, I guarantee you Blizzard or DOTA will. And it will be magnificent. I'm not just talking about spectator mode. I'm talking about gameplay. Just check out Airmech RTS coming out for Oculus and you'll see what I mean. Full 3d view of the map and virtually unlimited resolution. I think it's a nobrainer. If you have any retained earning for tech development and future-proofing, riot should definitely be looking into this space.
