Is it just me or...

Is it just me or is there a significant trend lately of new champs with quirky utility/escape ults? Azir Azir was the last one to kinda feel like a traditional ult but even then Emperor's Divide is effectively a highly damaging escape mechanism for self and party. After that we have Kalista Kalista's launch-a-friend, RekSai Rek'sai's dig-dug magical journey, Bard Bard's game of red-light-green-light, Ekko Ekko's takesies-backsies backwards escape, TahmKench Tahm Kench's how-to-sawllow-(for)-your-friends, Kindred Kindred's "nah, you don't get to die yet" imitation of Bard's ult, and then we finally get back to something that feels like a normal ult with Illaoi Illaoi's "super mega hentai death tentacle party"....

That's a hell of a lot of quirky ults to be released one after the other, especially considering those who make up this trend are (in order) a Kalista marksman, RekSai a fighter, Bard a support, Ekko an assassin, TahmKench another support, Kindred and another marksman? That's every role except full-on tanks and mages, and includes no less than two widely recognized jungle chars...and guess what? The two with only semi-quirky ults that sandwich this smorgasbord together are Azir Azir, a Mage, and Illaoi Illaoi, a Fighter/Tank...

So, yeah, with those two exceptions, am I the only one who noticed a severely slanted trend among the new champion ults?
