Roles and Mains

So ever since I started league a year ago I never really found my "favorite" champion or role. I have always switched from role to role and I can never find that one true champion that I find absolutely fun and want to play every time. Gosu has his Vayne and Annie Bot has Annie. I just want to find that one true champion and role but I can't. What do I do!

Just keep playing. That's all you really can do.

There's been champions who I've played a few times and didn't really like, and a few months later I end up playing them again and having a blast. This is with no real changes to the champions. Make sure to never fully discount a champion just because they were not fun in the past.

Keep playing for variety and eventually you'll find something that sticks. Not everyone is able to main a champion, but at the very least you might end up finding a role you enjoy enough to be your main.

well I mean the obvious one is to try all the champs. What Kind of champs do you play commonly?

That's what everyone wants, is a perfect main for them... for the longest time I played teemo.

Do I wanna continue to be a teemo? No I dont.. He's just a place holder because People don't give a poop where he goes they hate you for playing him...

But Until League creates a Yrodle that can change it's profession based on the elements..

Air - ADC Fire - Mage Water - Support Stone - Tank.

I will never have my perfect main...

Just play one champ that you do well with or like to play. Then play champs like that. Thats how I found my main (Leona), cause I played Nautilus (another engage heavy champ), which led me to kennen (Same thing as naut). I found my best role was support and I've always been a dark souls fan so leona just naturally fit (Plus you gotta praise those suns in the pool party skin ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

For choosing a role you need to think about what you favorite way to help the team is. Adc gives the team raw damage and killing power. Mid laner is basically the same as adc generally more ap burst dmg instead of constant, massive, ad dmg like the ad. A top laner provide a little bit of protection in that they are generally tankier whether is alittle bit of heath or full tank. Top laners with teleport usually split push and then tp when their team is in trouble. Jungles help all lanes by ganking and secureing monster buffs for their teammates. Supports provide cc and defensive support as well as locking down kills and disrupting the enemy. They also provide more vision then other roles. So yeah it depends on what you want to give to your team. For picking a champion to play you want to find a champion that you find appealing and one that you really connect with, then they'll need to have a fun and engaging kit that matches your play style. I personally prefer champions that are hard to play and not broken because it is more challenging and also out of respect for fellow players. I main support because I love to help others and carry behind the scenes. I main sona because I love music and am a musician and I also think shes a pretty unique character. Just as well I like her play stlye of passive aggressive and the ability to play super aggressive late game with full cdr. Sona if fun for me because she is very squishy which mean that getting caught out once usually results in death so I need to have really good positioning and map awareness. However sona especially late game sona can have some truly deceptive dmg burst. So sona is challenging and rewarding fits my play style and is a champion I can connect with. Tl:DR when picking a role you need to decided in what ways you want to help your team. When chossing a champ to main try to look for a champion you can connect with or relate to in some way. Look for a challenging yet rewarding champion that has a fun and engaging kit.
