Why is losing a 3v5 still treated as a reflection of my skill with regards to LP and MMR?

Leaverbuster already detects that they have been afk, and they remain afk when the game ends, so why not lessen the blow of the loss somehow? It is hard for me to believe that "preventing abuse" is a valid reason to skew the system so heavily. Two games in a row I've had at least one leaver or dc or ragequit. That means that I have to win 3 additional games to progress beyond where I was, for something that was entirely out of my control. It doesn't seem like a positive or fair system to treat these games the same as a 5v5 which was lost by misplays. In the interest of fairness, LP and MMR should also be negatively impacted by a leaver on the enemy team. I just feel like there is a better system out there than just ignoring the enormous imbalance a game with a leaver or afk or ragequit creates.

remove duo queue or make it if one of the duo queue buddies leave, then the other duo queue also loses 30 lp. then have the leaver lose 30 lp for leaving and have the other 4 members lose only 5 lp. and have the winning team gain normal lp.

boom. it affects no one.

tl:dr leaver loses 30 lp. if in a duo queue the other buddy also loses 30 lp(so a guy cant abuse system) then other 4 teammates lose only 5 lp. enemy winning team gains normal lp.

With respect to rage quits I think it is a reflection of skill. I've never seen someone rage quit when their teammate is winning hard and comes to their Lane to help shut down the opponent and is providing a positive environment. Typically people rage quit because a teammate is harassing them, a teammate is feeding, or they're feeding madly resulting in the team being so far behind they think it's hopeless and aren't having fun so they leave.

Don't get me wrong, they shouldn't leave and should be penalized for doing so, but you shouldn't get off of the hook for a loss that you actually were part of. Changing this would likely result in people refusing to surrender Games that are clearly lost in hopes that a teammate will DC in order to save them LP.

Not that I think this mentality is OK, but I think they are banking on the fact that it evens out over time.
