Gaming Laptop for League

I've been wanting a new gaming laptop for a while and I was wondering what specs would be good for lol. I've heard that an i3 core does the job but what is the difference between i3 and an i5 intel core? Also if I could get any suggestions of laptops that are fairly inexpensive that would be great. Would something like an Acer Aspire E 15, 15.6" Full HD, 7th Gen Intel Core i3-7100U, 4GB DDR4, 1TB HDD, Windows 10 Home, E5-575-33BM do the job? Currently I have a mac OSX with a 2.13 GHz processor duo core and a nvidia Geforce 320M. It lags a little which hurts my play a lot. (Yes I know macs arent the best for gaming). Its a 13 inch late 2010 OSX. Thanks
