I have just been placed in low priority matching pool due the game freezing on me a number of times, isn't that grand!
I didn't intentionally abandon any of those games, they were over before I could figure out a way to reconnect. Most of the time I'm stuck in a perpetual loading screen and I have to restart my laptop to get any reaction out of it. Apparently, if the LoL client doesn't work for you, you end up being an AFK in their books.
Riot please.
This thread only has two outcomes:
1.) WE HATE RITO RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE
2.) STFU AFK IS AFK
I lean more towards number 2 myself, but not to the "suck it up afker" level. Get your game working correctly and use custom matches to check it alone. Once you know you've got everything working fine, THEN you're good to play without worry of this at all. Heck, I bet Riot support would even point you to some references to help you check everything. As it stands now, you're intentionally queuing up when you know that you apparently have this problem with connecting to the game...and to Riot that means you've decided that you don't care about ruining games.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do, be it fix your issue or piss and moan about it being "unfair".
the same thing has actually happened to me. it is very hit or miss when i will be able to connect right and from the looks of it it's not just me. for example last game i had an afk sona when i came back cause she dc'd too... it's not that i have bad problems connecting... it's that my client crashes gets going then crashes again. Literally that is what happened last time.
