Hey guys i had a few questions about how promos work. So last season I won 4 of them and got put in silver 4. But this season I won 6, and got put in Bronze 2. I was wondering how these promo games work. Thanks :D

The very first time you do your promos it takes your normals MMR and it pairs you with people around there to test the waters. It adjusts your MMR after that ased on which opponents you beat and which you lose to. Every placements after that things go by your previous ranked MMR. It's a soft reset so I believe they try to place you a little lower to start but based on who you beat and who you lose to is again how you get placed in your promos. Also your MMR doesn't always match your place at the moment. When you start a new season that has been soft reset it is pretty easy to be placed a little lower than where you were before but have a higher 'MMR'. Your MMR gets more solid and harder to move the more games you play that prove you belong where you are. So if you finish placements at B2 with a S4 MMR it means you can win 20-25lp per game and lose 8lp whereas if you're B2 with B2 MMR you're gonna gain/lose about the same every game.
