@Riot: Buff Pantheon's Ultimate

I really like Pantheon's Grand Skyfall, it's a cool ultimate. The ability to leap hundreds of feet into the air and come crashing down atop your foes is just badass. Unfortunately, it's pretty much impossible to hit anyone with it unless they're stunlocked or they have the reflexes of a glacier. The problem is that there is simply too much forewarning for this ability, it has a 2 second channel time followed by a 1.5 second travel time and the circle showing the AoE appears the moment you begin the channel, giving enemies 3.5 seconds to get out of the 700-radius AoE. The lowest base movement speed in the game is 325, meaning that in the 3.5 seconds Pantheon spends telegraphing his ultimate, even the slowest champions in the game can travel 1137.5 units, 437.5 units beyond the AoE if they started at the very center. Hell, someone with 400 or more movement speed can run all the way from one edge to the other in that time. I know you guys like abilities to have counterplay, but Grand Skyfall just has a bit too much. I get why you gave so much forewarning to it, it does a metric f**kton of damage at 400/700/1000 (+100% AP), but it takes ideal circumstances in order to hit anything with it. If the damage were reduced, could you shorten the delay between cast and arrival? I'd be happy if you halved the damage if it meant reducing the delay by even one second.

The ring doesn't appear the moment you begin the channel unless you're referring to the ring your temamtes see which is rendered when you begin channeling

Regardless, it's still way to long of a telegraph. I agree with OP. PLUS it gives too much time for the enemy to even counter react and demolish Panth

you have to have the right team comp and timing for it. but if you get it off properly it's devastating

But that's the problem, the ult practically requires a team comp dedicated to it for it to work as anything more than a means of getting from point A to point B.

hmmm, i dunno, you have to think of team comp with the balanced champions. i'm not sure where i'd put him exactly. but i think he's fairly balanced overall. http://www.nerfplz.com/2013/10/2013-champion-tier-list-solo-queue.html
