I wondered why you have to ban in ranked (otherwise you'll get kicked). If you are confident enough and have no champion you actually hate, can't you just NOT ban? Got too many times back in queue because of this, and not just by my own fault but others as well. Would help a lot if ban obligation would be removed. Ty.
there's no reason not to ban. you'd only put your team at a disadvantage by being overconfident.
I really think this is riots way of keeping players attention in champion select. how many people minimize the client and watch youtube vids, or play some other online game only to forget to change runes and masteries or get into the game 5 mins late.
Just ask someone else on your team what they'd want then?

Too many people flaming and reporting when people don't ban because it gives advantage to the enemy team. If you can't pay enough attention to ban, then the game assumes you aren't paying enough attention to play.
