I'm curious why we haven't figured out , or implemented a way to surrender due to afks.. i just had , yet another game with 2 afks, (both returned, 1 troll, 1 re afk). If the game recognizes that a teammate is afk, why cant we just allow team the option to surrender WITHOUT PENALTY due to afk, or continue at their own choice?
I honestly don't know why. Dota 2 lets you leave matches when there's an AFK on either team for more than 5 minutes. Without any punishment or penalties (other than the record books showing that you lost). Normals are treated as practice games in Dota 2, the majority of players, who are good, play Ranked. I don't see that being a huge problem in Dota 2. Their community doesn't seem to be in an uproar about it unless I'm missing something big, therefore I don't see how a loosely similar system won't work here in League.
