Tribunal
Will the Tribunal come back up? It was gone for all of S4 and it is almost S5.

Its sad really, within the past week and a half, i reported 30+ people that broke the code, being toxic, botting and so on but botting was minimul. Riot please bring a more severe, a more realistic punishment to the Community. You made the Summoner's code as a guide and as a way to saying WE are not messing around. But nothing is being done with the mass of reports all of us are sending. I played with the same person I reported three times and i reported him all three times, then a friend messaged me saying the same person(I verified if it was, name and everything was correct) I was with was still playing league, still being absolutely toxic, spamming, trolling, feeding, breaking the code, everything. it just surprises me that back in S2-S3, people that did that were usally never seen again or changed the way they acted then became active within the Community. but now no one cares what they say because you need dozens of reports to start to be punished. please do something. I'm not yelling or dissing on you Riot, I'm just a little shocked.
Hold on, the tribunal is disabled???? I'VE BEEN GOING TO THE TRIBUNAL PAGE FOR THE PAST YEAR OR SO THINKING THAT I WAS JUST REALLY UNLUCKY AND MAYBE TOMORROW THERE WOULD BE SOME CASES FOR ME. Sorry for caps but god...attached is a picture of my justice review. After tribunal would be closed I'd open it up and look at my stats. 346 cases reviewed isn't bad. Oh yeah, that 16 review streak? It was the last 16 games i reviewed. Disruptive, vulgar, or otherwise unsavory types have been around as long as mankind. LOL has never been troll free. However, when I could actively be a member of the tribunal I felt as if I had some control over the user pool of LOL, punishing the wrong, pardoning the just. Now it's just an automated system. Any sort of human judgement has been buried under code that only flag users after reaching some number of reports. In my opinion, the most effective social hierarchy is a democracy. We. the users of LOL, should have some say on what is appropriate behavior when playing, and what isn't. To put that responsibility primarily on the shoulders of a program isn't just a bad decision, its insulting. I know riot doesn't care about that tho, so how about this instead: How many man hours does your team deal with reports a week? Isn't crowd sourcing the problem much more cost effective? Then your team just has to decide the punishment instead of the entire process. Think of the bottom line!
I totally agree with the tribunal coming back! Needs to happen badly!!! I can't even play a ranked game anymore without people being stupid and obnoxious. It's like they forget that it's just a game. I know a lot of them are trying hopelessly to be pro, but come on. You're not going to go prop with that attitude, and there is no reason for them presently not to act like idiots.
nothing like putting butting bans/chat restricts in the hands of automated programs.
yeah tribunal has been gone since season 2, want to point out that riot is breaking its own ToS by not providing tribunal as mentioned in the ToS section 3, sub-section E, point 3:
"By the Community via Crowd Sourcing. Riot Games has empowered its community of users (the “Community”) to police the compliance of other users with the “Summoner’s Code” (http://na.leagueoflegends.com/articles/The_Summoners_Code), which outlines the principles of ideal game play behavior, as well as with other Riot Games policies. Consistent with the guidelines found at http://na.leagueoflegends.com/legal/tribunal, Community members, including you as a user, are allowed to submit descriptions of activity and actions of certain users within the Game, and collectively determine if that particular user was in compliance with the Riot Games policies relating to user conduct, including, but not limited to, the Summoner’s Code and the Code of Conduct (defined below). This system of allowing the Community to review user behavior in the Game is called The Tribunal®. Should The Tribunal determine that you have acted in contravention of any one of the Riot Games policies, Riot Games may, in its sole and absolute discretion, ban your use of the Game and suspend, terminate and/or delete your Account."
then later again mentioned in section 6 sub-section C :
"The Tribunal. All Chat will be recorded by Riot Games and stored for a period determined by Riot Games in its sole discretion, which period Riot Games may change from time to time in accordance with the terms of The Tribunal policy. Should your in-Game actions or conduct be reported by another user as being in contravention of the Summoner’s Code, in violation of this Agreement or outside the scope of any one of Riot Games’ policies, and should your case come before The Tribunal, the entire Chat log from that particular reported Game session will be included in The Tribunal report and available for viewing by randomly selected members of the Community who are eligible and opt to participate in The Tribunal."
so can someone please explain how riot is not breaking tos as they have stated multiple times when i have asked, i also want to point out that there have been several of their employees that have banned the support account because i have asked them this, which also breaks ToS as it states:
"Customer Contact. If you have any questions concerning these terms and conditions, or if you would like to contact Riot Games for any other reason, please contact Riot Games support at [email protected], or visit the “support” tab on the Site." - section 17 sub-section B
I don't know, but there needs to be some form of punishment for breaking rules clearly outlined in the summoner's code.
I'd like the tribunal to be up because there are a lot of cases in which reports are not fair. I got myself banned 3 times from Ranked solo Queue and chat restricted because of that. I complained to Riot about it and all they did was telling me that indeed I had a toxic behaiviour and reset the ban right after I got rid of it. My point is: in a game in which all 5 teammates are jerks (including me) and only one person gets the ban, do you think it is fair for the rest not to get a punishment for being toxic? What about thos premade people who like reporting because you expressed to them that you don't like their flaming? Or you had a bad game and people report you for "offensive language" when you actually didn't say anything?
i got perm banned cuz of people false reporting me
Dude Tribunal is a joke they all go by here say and its people like you who make a game like this bad.....stop reporting a be a man.....goes to show how much people DONT belong in the army.
not worth commenting
Tribunal is nonexistent. I can't play a single game without someone trolling i some way. It ruins the game, makes it unplayable, and everyone who plays solo q knows what i'm talking about. Riot does nothing, they know there is a problem and do nothing. All riot does is focus on LCS because that is what makes the money. They try nothing to help the everyday average player. Riot please do something, rid LoL of trolls. Please try something, they ruin the whole game.
I've been playing video games since Atari was big, and the tribunal is by far the dumbest, most ham-fisted idea I have ever seen. You sensitive ass kids wouldn't have been able to handle the arcade. Stop taking yourself so seriously. Nobody cares if you're offended.
all I see is bitch really...you can keep coming back with what you think is cunning and sensible and little quotes you made up to cover up how lame and gay you are. Fact of the matter is your all gay.
I really hope it comes back up because so many people now don't care what they say at all and it seems like when you report someone, nothing is done and they continue to make racial or homophobic slurs, being generally toxic, trolling SO HARD and so on. I think with the Tribunal down things will get worse and when the time comes for them to be removed it will be to late. If the Tribunal comes back up early S5 i definitely think we will notice a lot less toxicity in Lol and in the Lol Community.

People are being so "TOXIC ", when is it going to end?!
Sooo... We seriously need some sort of timeline on this, it's been a year.![]()
Does the Tribunal have a system of eligibility?
A lot of comments I've read are full of blood-lust saying "Bring the Tribunal back so I can ban people". This concerns me.
To be honest, I almost don't want it to return. Although toxicity was recently being regarded in a harsh manner (bans, suspensions, etc), it really shaped the League community up. Showed us as a whole that Rito isn't screwing around anymore. Whereas the Tribunal had a more indirect "slap on the wrist" feel.
