@RIOT ~~~ DEVELOPING APP FOR RP PURCHASE ON MOBILE

I am a student at W.P. Carry @ Arizona State University. My CIS course has instructed me to develop an app that will be put on itunes for purchase. I want to allow people to select "RIOT" from a list, and purchase RP cards using their mobile devices. They are to be presented with a code which they can then input to League - same effects as going to the store and buying a card, except on your ass. ANYONE VIEWING THIS: Please let me know what you think of this idea!!

(BTW~ League name is old troll name.. not paying to change it)

  1. Your name - I'm surprised Riot hasn't forced you to change it by now.

  2. What's your demographic? RP Cards, to my knowledge, are targeted at people that don't have ready access to credit cards or other online forms of currency. What benefit would this app provide that is distinctly different from normal RP purchase and RP cards?

  3. You need to have extremely good encryption and trust for functionality like this. People would be needing to use credit card information or online sources like PayPal, so the consumer needs to be absolutely sure their information is safe and only being used for what they intend.

  4. How do you propose you acquire the RP codes the consumer would be presented with?

You can submit a support ticket saying something like this to possibly have it changed:

"I have been made aware that my name is against the League of Legends ToU. As such, I would appreciate if it could be changed to one of the following:"

And follow it with a list of 5 acceptable names, in order of preference.

While you're at it, you should ask their thoughts about such a project. Personally, I think it's a pretty cool idea.

  1. Name ~ Yeah IKR?
  2. Its an app for people that would like to move around without a wallet, and the increasingly sedentary individual - there is a large EMV movement through North America and Asia. The app would allow you to (once your card is registered) to make RP purchases off your smart phone, lets say while your in-between classes you buy a $25RP card using the app. So you go home, type in the code you got on your phone, and bam.. RP. Its not meant to replace the current RP system, but rather to provide an option.. On the go purchasing power.
  3. First, I'm sure Itunes selection process will put it through security tests. Also, combining 4) into this, Im posting here because RIOT said they take ideas from forums, and I understand that I cant just go selling RIOT products w/o permission. So I feel by presenting them with an opportunity for a new level of market integration, they wouldn't have too big of a problem ensuring payment security for their own products, especially since I'm not holding cards and I'm not taking any of their profits.
