Banned for using Curse Voice

So my boyfriend got perma banned last week for having used Curse Voice in the past. This seems really harsh, he never even got any warnings or temporary bans. Just straight up got perma banned for using the program (he said he used it about twice) in the past. So we can't enjoy the game as a couple anymore. GG.

Has anybody else gotten permabanned for using curse voice, did they manage to become unbanned? He sent a ticket already, because his perma ban didn't even get a reason and he had to send a ticket to even find out why.

What exactly did the ban notification say? Did it directly call out Curse Voice, or are you just assuming that that's what it was? To my knowledge, Curse Voice has been modified such that it falls within the terms of use. And even before it was updated to become compliant, Riot was not taking action on people who were using it.

I thought they rescinded their blanket ban on using the Curse Voice app.

He can try making an alt and contacting customer service regarding the issue, but I believe thats handled by a different part, by the appeals team I believe.

The jungle timers and the automatic joining into voice chat. Oops, had made a separate comment for this instead of a reply.

I don't know if this forum will help you out at all, but I remember seeing it updated a month ago. RIOT on Curse Voice and other 3rd party apps I hope this helps. If you scroll down and read some of the RIOT employee's post, he says that no one gets any bans for using curse voice. If they were banned, it was likely scripting or doing something that went over the line due to their TOS.

It is indeed silly at this point. Support tickets are all I can think of; the more respectful and sincerely apologetic he sounds, the better.
